MARISEAL FABRIC is a non-woven polyester geotextile, available in 60 or 110 g/m² weights, used to reinforce MARISEAL liquid-applied waterproofing membranes. This is the 20cm x 100m roll, the handy width for detailing.

It goes into the wet membrane either across the whole area or just at the weak spots: wall-to-floor and wall-to-wall junctions, 90° internal angles, movement joints, cracks, and around anything that comes through the roof such as pipes, outlets, chimneys, domes, AC units and siphons. When you are covering the full surface, overlap the strips by 5 to 10cm so there is no break in the reinforcement.

Once embedded it gives the membrane enough strength for heavy foot traffic, and it is UV stable, resistant to heat, frost and chemicals, and permeable to water vapour.
