About this product
DESMOFLEX Epoxy Primer is a two-part, water-based epoxy primer from the DESMOFLEX liquid waterproofing range. Its job is to prepare the substrate so the membrane that follows gets a proper bond rather than sitting on a weak surface.
It is the primer for porous surfaces, and it is the one specified under D-FLEX Clear when that membrane is going over a porous base. Being water-based, it is a different product to the solvent-based polyurethane primer in the same range, so check which one the job calls for.
As with any two-part epoxy, mix both components in the ratio given on the pack and use the batch within its working time. Follow the manufacturer's data sheet for coverage, drying times and the window for overcoating with the membrane.
